Friday belongs to the earth signs. Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn: this reading is yours, and the subject is money and security.
We’re two days into the Two of Swords decan, the ten-day stretch of sky that opened on the equinox. Wednesday’s reading called those days a pause with a clock on it: keep both sides level, feel what each one weighs, and leave any cutting until you have actually looked. You already live that way with money. You keep the books. The other elements come to you when they want the figure to make sense. This week the question is whether the figure on the page is the true one.
The Card: Justice
The card drawn for you is Justice, one of the Major Arcana, the twenty-two larger cards of the deck. It is Libra’s own card in the Golden Dawn system. The words that travel with it are ones you already use when the books are open: truth, fairness, balance, accountability, cause and effect. Truth is the only scale that holds.
Maybe yours shows a robed figure seated between two pillars, a crown on the head, a double-edged sword held upright in one hand and a set of scales in the other. Eyes open. A small square in the crown, a purple cloak, sometimes a veil behind. Maybe the robes and the backdrop change from deck to deck. What every version shares is the same pair of tools, held at the same time, by someone who is looking.
That last part is the whole reading. The decan card sits blindfolded and keeps two blades still. Justice holds one blade upright and looks straight at the scales. The tools and the ten days are the same. The posture is not. The pause is still allowed. You can take it with your eyes open.
For money and security, Justice is cause and effect arriving at its true weight. What you set in motion is coming back. That is a relief when the books are straight. It stings when they are not. Think of the standing cost you stopped opening because you already knew the figure, or the short-term fix from 2024 that still leaves the account every month. You already counted in late July, when the Seven of Pentacles asked what was ripe. This week asks whether that stocktake told the whole truth.
Weighing is comfortable for you. The sword is the part you skip. Cutting means cancelling, renegotiating, saying the real figure out loud, closing the account you keep from habit. A pile that hides a missing line is less safe than a smaller one that does not. Security lives in an honest ledger.
A line for each of you. Taurus, look at the purchase that calms you after a long day, and the provider or brand you stay with because switching feels like a row; put the one you already suspect on the scales. Virgo, another pass through the figures can keep the action on paper; stop counting that line and do the thing the count already pointed to. Capricorn, the distant target has started answering for who you are, and this year’s self is making do on whatever is left after the future has been fed; give the person paying this month’s bills the same fairness you keep for the one who inherits the pile.
One Practical Thing for the Week
Pick one money line and put it on the scales before Sunday, with your eyes open. An evening is enough. Open the statement or the app and look at the real figure, the real terms, the real date it started. Write one sentence about what it costs and what it still gives you. Then use the sword once: cancel it, renegotiate it, say the true number to the person who needs to hear it, or move the money to a place that matches the sentence you wrote. One line. One cut. Leave the rest of the ledger alone until next week.
There’s more on the card in our Justice card meaning. Tomorrow, Saturday 26 September, brings the full moon in Aries, a reading on culmination and release for Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn. Monday 28 September is the air signs’ reading. Earth signs: weigh true, then cut.
